Hey guys! So this week in the sketchbook I’m trying to piggyback off of last weeks post about figure drawing and portraiture. I don’t know why I landed on the topic of zombies, but I think they can be fun to draw. Any little inconsistency in line work just adds to the character’s flaws in the form of skin problems, blood et c.

Here are the first set of pencil drawings I did just while watching tv one afternoon:

I decided to progressively add a little more detail, these next few were done with ink:

And finally I upgraded my favorite one into a simple color exercise:

And thats it! I really like this topic and may have to revisit it in a full blown illustration come spooky season.
