Hey all! This week I thought I’d share a watercolor gallery created in the last year or so. Most of these are inspired from The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, but some are inspired by the southwest desert as well. I end up traveling a lot for work, and this week I’m in Wyoming of all places. I think by next week I’ll have a post put together for landscapes inspired by this trip.

It’s easy to toss a sketchbook into my bag and do some sketching, but I’ve found that its a little more difficult to add color on the go. Watercolor paints end up being a pretty good solution, they pack up small and don’t create a ton of mess. When i was working on these paintings I acquired this neat little travel watercolor set from Winsor & Newton. It’s probly on 6″ by 2.5″ with the lid closed. Banana included for scale. This makes on the go painting really tolerable.
That paint set, a pencil and a sketchpad makes for a pretty easy way to pass the time, check out some of these paintings in the gallery below. A lot of these are also available as prints in my Etsy store so head over there if you wanna grab one!
Since I started writing this blog, I’ve done a lot of digital work. I thought it might be neat to share some of my traditional painting work as well, so keep an eye out for more of that in the future.
As always i wish you all well in your own creative endeavors, until next time!
